About Lang Companies>
Since establishment in 1982, LANG has become the essence of distinctive artistic expression embodied in fine home and gift products through our signature Americana themes that are synonymous with the LANG brand name. Each year brings an exciting opportunity to add new artists to the LANG Family so that we can continue to expand our unique artwork collection onto more calendar formats such as weekly planners, monthly planners, desk planners, pocket planners and more. We invite you to share in the tradition so many have followed through the years in enjoying beautiful artwork with loved ones. Whether it be in a LANG Wall Calendar that reminds you of someone special every day or a LANG Christmas Card that shows your loved ones how much you care, or a gift they will cherish for years, LANG’s quality and inspiration stands the test of time.
LANG Journals are perfect for note taking, creating to-do lists, or logging events of the day. Every journal features a hardcover decorated in full color LANG artwork. Pair your journal with a matching planner, address book, or mug as you journal away.
With what began as a succession of vibrant paintings, developed into the basis for a calendar date book in 1981, the evolution of a partnership between Herrero and LANG emerged. Throughout Herrero’s dynamic life, which spanned the Great Depression, the Second World War, the rise of Silicon Valley, and the dawn of the twenty-first century, Herrero turned his passion for life into art as he embarked on a life journey perfecting his true passion for fine art, with the love and support of his wife, Janet. From his home in California, Herrero frequently traveled to Tuscany, Provence and Spain absorbing the lessons of their sensuous landscapes. The colors of horizons and rich earth, the sensations of sunlight, and the fragrance of flower-covered hillsides mingled in his imagination and flowed through his paintbrush onto his canvases. While Herrero’s art had a strong influence by Picasso, Matisse and Van Gogh, he effortlessly perfected his own unique art style incorporating distortion and an innocence that set him apart from his contemporaries.
